Every door is built around materials Wedge manufactures: StarPan / FP1000 / FP1150 calcium silicate boards, WEMAG-C MgO board, HDRW 850 rockwool cores and INTUF / INTUR graphite intumescent seals. Certification: what we claim and what we do not
Wedge cores, boards and intumescent seals are tested and certified, and their certificates are supplied with every order. Doorsets are currently manufactured to Wedge drawings by certified partner factories and are supplied with that manufacturer’s doorset test reports. Wedge’s own FD60 and FD120 doorset tests to IS 3614 and BS 476-22 are in progress at accredited Indian laboratories; Wedge-branded doorset reports will be published on this page when issued. Ask us for the exact report that applies to your project before specifying.

Installation
Fire doors are only as good as the gap around them. Frames are fixed to a fire-rated wall, the gap is packed with rockwool and sealed, the perimeter gap is held at 3 mm ± 1 mm so the INTUF strip can work, and the closer is adjusted to latch from 100 mm. Wedge supplies an installation guide with every doorset and can install in Delhi NCR, Lucknow and Noida.

What is the price of a fire door in India?

Is a fire-rated door mandatory in India?
Yes for the locations NBC 2016 Part 4 and NBCS 2026 define: staircases, lift lobbies, shafts, refuge areas, plant rooms and, in many states, flat entrance doors in high-rise buildings. State fire services check certificates at NOC stage.
What is the difference between FD60 and FD120?
FD60 holds fire for 60 minutes and FD120 for 120 minutes in a standard furnace test. FD120 uses a thicker, double-board core and is used on exit stairs and basements.
Are Wedge fire doors tested?
Wedge cores and seals are tested and certified. Doorsets are supplied with the doorset manufacturer’s test report; Wedge-branded FD60/FD120 doorset tests are in progress. We state exactly which report applies to each order.
Do you make wooden fire doors?
Yes. Timber-faced FD30, FD60 and FD120 doors with calcium silicate or rockwool cores for hotels, hospitals and offices where the door must look like wood.
